This hay-colored Sekt offers an absolutely stunning and hugely “Champagne-like” nose made of pear, yeast, toffee, and subtle floral (rose petal) elements. It is beautifully firm and precise on the palate where the subtle fruity and herbal elements are gorgeously enhanced by a superbly integrated and playful mousse. The finish is tart (think table rather than aperitif) but incredibly persistent. There is a hint of “natural” funk in the aftertaste but this just adds to the complexity and beauty of this amazing Sekt.
