Valeska
Valeska kicks off the fall season as our APRIL FIRST muse, showing us— as the "Mother of Six Dragons" on Instagram— how to stay stylish and comfortable while managing life with seven (!) kids.
From her former career as a TV editor to family-friendly recipes and travels around the world, life with Valeska is anything but boring! Of course, we choose our muse not just for her background but for her inspiring style.
Valeska manages to achieve something we all dream of: being both comfortable and fashionable — because as a dragon mother, you're always chasing after a little baby dino!
1. Describe yourself in 3 words to people who don’t know you?
Honest, grateful, appreciative.
2. What’s your everyday look?
Jeans, a crisp shirt or cashmere sweater, and sneakers.
3. One thing people don’t know about you, but should!
Maybe there are things I don’t know about myself that I should know. And that’s what makes life so exciting!
4. What’s your favorite piece from the shoot at APRIL FIRST?
I was really drawn to the first look. I never would’ve chosen the black dress myself, but looking at the photos now… I see a confident, strong woman. Maybe I should book a styling session with you!
5. How would you describe daily life as a mother of seven children?
Life with seven kids is wild—it’s busy, beautiful, loud, structured, and you’re rarely alone. There’s always something new to create.
6. If your life were a TV show, what would the title be?
“Frame by Frame – The Balancing Act of Life” (Season 1-7)
7. What’s your top tip for traveling with kids?
Keep up the pace and be bold! But remember, it’s their holiday too—try to see things from their perspective. We mix fun and cultural activities. Our kids love cities like New York and Paris, and they help choose what we do (we now know all the coolest playgrounds in New York!).

8. Which day of the week is your favorite, and why?
We’re always booked with activities, but I genuinely love my day-to-day life — and that’s not just a line! So, I don’t really have a favorite day…
9. What did you do differently with your seventh child than with your first?
With my first, I went back to work on TV Total after just eight weeks. Back then, I didn’t fully understand how intense those hormones could be or how deeply I’d love my child. In hindsight, I would’ve done things differently. With my seventh, I’m savoring every moment. I’m also in a different phase of my career, where I can plan things exactly as I like.
10. When do you feel most comfortable and strong?
I feel my best and strongest when I’m surrounded by the right energy—whether it’s people or my environment. When the energy clicks, I can step out of my comfort zone and really grow. It’s an amazing feeling.
Thank you Valeska for a wonderful day where I could get to know you in Berlin.
